I have been in the sign industry since 1974 and since then have progressed through hand lettering to computer designed vinyl designs in 1993 to full color digital printing from 2007 to 2015

I enjoy working with designs and color.... by participating in the logo contests, I keep myself sharp and always learning

What I had to do  to start...
Being a sign maker, I really didnt have that much opportunity to design logos for my clients... most of them already had them ....  I was proficient in Flexisign (a vector program) and Photoshop (a raster program). All the contest sites require vector based designs... and I wanted to be using what everyone else seemed to be using.. so I purchased Illustrator (adobe suite) and started learning a new program... Having been using Photoshop helped a little, but illustrator is much more conplex.. so here I am... learning to lighten up for logo designs
